Why book a boudoir photo shoot?
While the world bombards women consistently with negative messaging that we’re not ___ enough, a boudoir photo shoot can be the reminder that we all need and crave. With an awesome experience and photos to remind you of that special time, it’s the perfect opportunity to both celebrate yourself and take time for yourself.
What makes my shoots different
Boudoir photo shoots are typically a fun, sexy experience that result in fun, sexy photos. The empowerment shoots that I offer are quite a bit different experience. Lingerie isn’t even a requirement! The focus of the shoots is to help empower you now and in the future, as I give you tools to help you on your journey.
The Process with Me
- Reach out to me at www.paperairplanes.photography/book-me
- Book shoot – either 60, 90, or 120 minutes
- Pay deposit and sign contract
- Fill out questionnaire that helps determine what you are wanting from your experience and where you would like it
- Create inspo board on www.pinterest.com that evoke the kind of FEELING you want, outfits you like, poses you vibe with
- Buy any outfits you don’t already own for shoot (this can be any kind of outfit, lingerie included!)
- Come to your shoot exactly how you want. (That can be with makeup and hair done, or as natural as you’d like.)
Boudoir Photo Shoot Experience with Me
- Meet me and become acquainted
- Get comfortable with space (whether studio, or outdoor location)
- Show me all the outfits, accessories, and props you brought
- Sit down and have an introductory chat. Discuss goals for the time we have together and ask any last minute questions.
- Begin shoot by practicing some deep breathing. This helps calm the nerves and get into the right headspace
- I’ll guide you through some type of meditation – whether that be a body scan, or something else, depending on your needs
- The rest of the shoot follows a unique flow. There will be guidance with posing, dancing to a personalized playlist, and a couple activities that I’ll have planned specifically for you. This part is so intentional and personalized.
- You’ll go home with a polaroid or two, a goodie bag, and more digital images on the way!

Jordan flew all the way from Utah to shoot with me in Kauai. My family was vacationing on the gorgeous garden island, and I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to reach out to my audience to see if anyone wanted to shoot with me in one of my favorite places. I must admit, it was one of the most exciting points of my career at that time. Knowing that Jordan not only saw value in booking an empowerment shoot, but also that she trusted me enough to fly to a different state – well, it felt very special. Jordan came with the most positive attitude, ready for a life-changing experience. We took an adventurous (very steep and slippery!) hike down to an incredible cave and beach, and co-created some of the most beautiful images I’ve ever seen. This shoot with Jordan has impacted not only her, but as she came back and told all her friends, over 5 others have decided to book empowerment shoots with me. The best time ever with Jordan!
